Illustrations tucked between the words. Insert places a small [image:…] marker where your typing cursor sits — the picture blooms there in Read view. Unplaced images gather at the sheet's end.
Google needs to know this app is yours before it lets it use your Drive. It's free and takes about ten minutes, once.
The app only asks for its own hidden folder in your Drive — it can't see or touch any of your other files. Do the same Connect step once on each device.
Write plainly — or use these little marks, and the Read view turns them into a finished page. The marks stay in Write; the magic shows in Read.
Tap ⋯ on the formatting bar for lists, checklists, links, tables and more — or type the marks yourself.

Everything else — Dip inks, highlights, pins — needs no marks at all; the pen remembers invisibly.
A scriptorium for worldbuilders and long tales — sheets of rag paper, written with glass pens, kept safely in this browser.
✒️ New sheet starts a fresh page.
📚 Books holds picture books, PDFs and illustrated tales. Bring in any file from New sheet — it finds its own place.
🧵 Begin lines with #, ## or ### and Threads lets you leap between headings. (More marks: ⚙️ → How the pen works.)
💧 Dip the pen to write on in another ink — or select words to highlight them.
📖 Read shows the finished page: colours, headings, and images in their places.
⚙️ Sheets live only in this browser — weave a Backup in Settings now and then.
The bookshelf keeps picture books, PDFs and illustrated tales — read under the stars. Any file you bring in finds its own place: writing becomes sheets, pictures become books.
📚 Add books (or New → Bring in what you have) takes .cbz archives, .pdf files, or a handful of images. Choose several PDFs at once and the merge bench opens — drag rows by the ⠿ grip into order; pages are copied whole (perfect) or pressed toward email size, with filled-in forms pressed flat.
🧵 Bind joins anything already on the shelf, whatever it began as — a PDF with a picture book with a bundle of photos. Tap books in order, name the volume, done.
PDFs keep their words. In the reader, ⋯ → Find in this book searches every page, and Select & highlight text lets you mark passages in five colours. Searching the shelf finds words inside PDFs too. A locked PDF asks for its password once; after that it opens freely, and downloading it gives a copy without the lock.
Hold a book (or right-click) for its quick menu — open, rename, download, remove.
In the reader, swipe or tap the edges to turn pages. The ⋯ menu sets which way pages turn and how they fit. Your place is always remembered.
Books live only in this browser — the originals on your device are never touched.
For scanned books — photos of pages, where there's no text to search yet. The app reads every page and adds the words invisibly, so you can find, select, highlight and quote them.
The first time, the reading tool and each language are downloaded once (the tool about 5 MB, each language roughly 2–15 MB), then it all works offline. It takes a few seconds per page, and you can stop any time — it picks up where it left off.
Choose every language the pages use. Each extra language makes reading a little slower.
